I'm Bored!!

Soccer has ended.

Baseball has ended.
Mom, I'm bored, I swear I heard this a hundred times and that was just yesterday.
Funny as a child the summers would fly by so fast, it seemed like you'd blink and my Mom would be pulling my ear all the way to the old Woolco stores to try on all my back to school clothes. Now as a Mom with two little ones the summer seems longer, much longer, and hotter than I ever remember. I don't even want to put my big toe outside in this heat(37 yesterday)and my kids want to be outside from morning until night. I try to keep them inside but all I hear is "I'm bored". So Mom goes outside to be the carnival cruise director all the while getting the girls soaking wet in the boobie bra and my big girl undies plastered on my butt cheeks(not a pretty sight), please, please September, come quick......
To make me feel whiny, inferior and a total slacker, I come across this article.

An Arkansas couple just had their 17th child, a little girl,Jennifer Danielle (all the names of their children start with J) born to Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. The couple have said they want more children???
This woman must be super woman, I am moaning and groaning about 2 kids making me a crazy lady, 17 oh please(no offense here) commit me now, save me a bed on the ward, I'm ready, please get the pretty wrap jacket.

My children say they are getting bored too, but don't want to head back to school just yet.
I saw a special on that family, they were building their large home. I couldn't handle that many babes. People think I'm nuts for wanting my 5th.

17 babies? Those people need a new hobby. That is one baby factory woman. But to each their own I guess.
Ya I stuck my boy in camp for 4 weeks of free mornings! Sadbly I only have one more week and then I'll have three weeks of enteraining him. I thought once #2 came that they would entertain each other and leave their momma to paint her toe nails in peace??
Come on now, don't burst my bubble here....

Sorry Ms. Beautiful Dragonfly, my toes remain unpainted and no peace, pop.
My kids need me for entertainment,I guess there will come a time when they'll walk two miles ahead or behind me cause I'm lame.

I think that by the time you have 17, they probably just fall out--lol! I saw that article too! Don't worry...September will be here before you know it!

Emmie is ready for school. She could have June off and maybe some of July, but after that...she is ready!

Someone should arrest that woman. I see it as nothing more than child neglect. Who is raising and loving on all these children? She will only stop when her uterus falls out!

Blogger Queen? Who me?? I would respond back to your comments via e-mail however you are set up as "noreply"....... change it silly woman...

The kids are bored, the moms can't wait for school to start, and the teachers are screaming - NOT YET!!!! LOL

17??? I would like to have ONE. I saw a program about them once. It is quite amazing.

My kids are bored, too. All I would have needed as a kid in the summer would have been a pool. We have that so in my opinion, they're crazy!

17 kids...wow...17? As in a one BEFORE the seven? HA! I could't fathom SEVEN. I'm not going to attempt FOUR! LOL...good for THEM! I'll still continue to whine about my three...and look forward to your whining about yours! Pah-lease!

Not only are there 17 but they all have names that start with J. Yep...time for them to get out in the real world. Makes me think of a happy commune until one decides to marry outside of the family. ooooo...was that to harsh?
The thought of having to be prego for 10.5 years of my life at the age of 40 just makes me literally want to puke! My guts get all twisted up and post partum would definitely be deadly for someone.

Two more weeks of summer here but as of yesterday the weather has been so much like Fall that I can't complain. It will help me get back in the mode of writing lesson plans and staying focused on my students during the week. When it is sunny I tend to slack on pressing the academics all day long.

The word 'bored' is not allowed in our house. M can use the sentence "I don't know what to do" or "Can you help me think of something to do?" There's a long story about the word bored from our years in the bush so along with Barney we outlawed it in our house even for ourselves! But I am pretty sure I haven't been bored in 9 years so I really haven't had the need to use it. :)

I have friends who know them well. And while I think large families are great, they are Christian and therefore I kinda wish if they felt called to have a large family, they should adopt. I have three adoption buddies who have just adoption 9th and 10 th child! lol
Summers in Ont...LONG AND HOT. Honestly, when I come back and can afford it, I think a pool is the only way to go! Preferable with load of shade :)

I told my best friend that I would like to have two children (she has one) and she said that I was crazy! According to her, one is perfect.
Seventeen just makes me want to cross my legs. Her husband needs to get a hobby.

I so hear you on the heat thing... I'm ready for November(takes that long to feel cool here in Florida- few spots in October, but not a true fall til later).

Thank you so much, Kerri, for the information on the wasps! We were just sitting here making plans for it and you totally confirmed what we thought about doing. We are scared, but will push forward later on tonight.
K2 has his parka and gloves all set!
Thanks again!

Just wanted to let you know the answer is "no" it's not RMJ. I can't reply to you as your set up as "no-reply". You need to edit your settings.

I am a huge fan of summer, but August does tend to be a kinda SLOW month...(I'm a little bored myself these days!)

17 kids. No thank you very much.

Her uterus must look like a deflated balloon when she's done.

I had to turn the channell this a.m. when they were on, I try not to judge, but come on...

Those are cute pictures. I feel sorry for you. Yes, it is hard to entertain them.

About the woman with 17 children, there are no words. I saw a program where it spoke about the family. They are homeschooled and they all help each other out. So not only are they 17 of them but they are HOME. Yep, she is not human.

17 kids is a freak show.
sorry... I'm not as kind as you
but therapy is obviously desperately needed over there
unless her goal is to set up an emergency shelter in her body for everyone to crawl in.

sorry... couldn't help it

I always wonder who pays for all the food and clothing and other necessities, since she is obviously always with child.
There is something wrong with that picture.

I notice the Timmy's soccer jersey.
Way to go team!
Do ya think you might be interested in a trip to see the Lantern Festival here with us?
