Our morning stroll...

This morning after we dropped Jen off at school Jill and I made are way across the park towards our place of ritual. It usually takes us about ten minutes to walk over to Tim's for our coffee, doughnut and conversation with all the regulars.
This morning everything was covered with a beautiful coating of hoare frost, it was like an artist took painstaking hours and perfected his craft on every blade of grass, leaf and stick in the park.
Jillian never ceases to amaze me, she picked up every leaf and stick all the while carefully investigating the pattern of the frost. She told me some looked like hair, spikes, prickles and fairy wings. I love her sense of wonder, discovery and her imagination.
Our walk took us about thirty minutes, the best minutes of my morning.
I adore this child..

Hold tight..

As referral time rolls around I always have such mixed feelings of doing a new post, I sit blessed with two wonderful little girls.
I know well the pain of the wait, not being next in line. The disappointment, feeling like you may want to pull out of the program.
Hold tight to your dreams, never give up....

My girl is growing up..

This week has been monumental for my big girl, she has lost a front tooth(the other one is hanging on by a thread) and has started in a fastball league. She is growing up before my eyes, I can hardly believe she will be turning seven in May.
For the last couple of weeks the two front teeth have been just hanging(literally)on and they had been giving Jen grief. It had become a struggle to eat and brush her teeth.During dinner a couple of nights ago she bit into her meat and the front tooth stuck straight out and turned black instantly, I was mortified! I couldn't bear to pull it out!!It definitely had to come out so I told(bravely,LOL) Jen to pull on it and she couldn't do it, she was a little scared. To make light out of the situation I told her we would tie a string on it and to the door knob and I would slam the door shut. Well, if this didn't tickle her fancy, long story short, we tied up the tooth and SLAM!! Out that baby tooth came and she loved the story to go with it.

Later that night she tucked a little piece of her childhood into the pocket of her tooth fairy bear, Mommy couldn't help but get a little emotional. Right before my eyes my baby girl is growing so fast!
This shot was taken right after she had lost her tooth, she was heading off to her first fastball practice of the season. This girl knows how to pitch a ball, can't wait to sit on the bleachers and cheer on my Puddin'.

Still a lot to learn..

I have been practicing with my camera, I have a lot to learn, thank goodness I have two little models who at times will cooperate with their Mommy. I will get back to blogging, having too much fun with the nicer weather and being outside with the monkeys.

We Picture (this), check it out...

we picture {this}
I submitted this picture to "We picture(this)" site.
I chose this picture because I love the natural light on her face and because I think she is just adorable in this shot. My little Jilly-Bean loves to eat, enjoyed playing and experimenting with the textures of her food, she was always a mess, LOL. Her sister on the other hand couldn't have anything on her hands or face, still that way today.
Click on the "We picture(this)" button and check out the wonderful photos that have been submitted..
