As you turn 7...

As you turn 7 tomorrow I can't help but reflect on this past year.
You have started grade one, went to school all day and have excelled in your studies.
You have made some many friends, you such a popular little girl, friendly and outgoing.
You have learnt to read chapter books, add, subtract and learnt about currency and how to spend and save it. You saved your money and bought two of your own Web*kinz this year, that made me so proud!
You have grown so much this year, you went from toddler to such a big girl, lost 5 teeth, taken an interest in fashion and now tells me what she would like to wear(and not, LOL).
I have enjoyed listening to you play me one of my favourite songs"Ode to Joy" on the piano, you have graced me with this song so many times you play it by memory. I am amazed at your musical gift, I hope you continue to nurture it for years to come, I see such potential.
You have started playing on a competitive, travelling fastball team, being the second youngest on the team, you are holding your own and enjoying the spirit of being part of the "team"
I love you more everyday, I am so proud to watch accomplish your goals, witness your determination and see you grown more beautiful inside and out. I love you Puddin' Pop, Happy 7th birthday.
Love Mommy.

On the sidelines, that's where I'll be..

Nice weather is here and sport season is upon us. That means packing up the car(usually can hardly shut the trunk, LOL) with snacks, chairs and of course my camera to catch all the action.
Jennifer is playing on a travelling fastball team, she is the second youngest player on the team and is holding her own, so proud of her and her determination!!
Jillian is playing soccer, it is the perfect sport, it's fast, lots of running and it is sure to wear her out, LOL!! We are so proud to see her right in there, kicking that ball and enjoying every second of the sport(snack and socializing is pretty great too).
So if I am a little neglectful visiting my favourite blogs you'll know a few of the reasons why I am MIA. I will try to keep up with your Spring/Summer the best I can.
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine. ;)

Do I smell birthday cake??

Today is my birthday, as I climbed into my mid 40's all I can say is the years keep getting better and better!!
I woke to a kiss from hubby(as he was dashing out the door to work) and half hour later two little monkeys bolted excitedly through the bedroom door with homemade card in tow. They crawled into bed with me, cuddled and kissed the birthday girl. They presented me with a gift and easy bake oven cake and cookies, I thought my heart would literally melt.
Thank to all my family for making this the best weekend, I felt your love.

Hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful long weekend, enjoy...

Happy Mother's Day

To my Mother-in-law, thank you for being such a great "Mom" and Grandma.
Thank you for bringing such a wonderful man into the world, you raised him to be such a caring wonderful, loving person. He is a loving Father, for that I am truly grateful. Thank you for opening your arms and heart to your Daughter-in-laws, we feel so loved in your presence.
Happy Mother's day to you, all my love...

Note the funky hair and tired(but estatic) look in my hubby eyes, LOL. We had just returned home from China, tired and in love..

To my Mom, thank you for giving me life, making that decision at 16 years of age could not have been easy.
You have been a wonderful, loving, caring and nurturing Mother, never showing your struggles along the way. You have been there for me around every corner, been my support, my strength and guided me when I needed it.You once told me being a Mother was a lifetime commitment, it didn't end when your children left home, you have proved to me that I am never to old to have the love and support of my Mom. Your now a Grandma and it just makes my heart swell with such love and pride when I see you with my girls, they love their Nana.
Happy Mother's Day Mom, I love you..

To my girl's birth Mother. I hope you know in your heart how much I love you.
I promised to you the day I held our child, I would love, nurture, protect and cherish them for all my life and beyond.
So as tomorrow comes please now I will be thinking of you and holding you dear in my heart, thank you for bringing 2 beautiful little lives into this world

Sitting pretty..

Peek...

Spring is here...

Well I did get my Puddin' to sit for a couple of shots. Jen is getting a little tired of the mamarazzi, she sees the camera lately and bolts in the other direction, all the while shielding her face like a star running through a crowded airport.
I love this picture of her it is one of my newest faves, she is so stunning, it makes my heart so proud, she is such a sweet girl inside and out.

Spring has Sprung

I haven't been blogging to much lately, had the blahs. Lately as I have been watching the trees bud out, the flowers bloom, everything is coming to life, looking more vibrant(including me). I grabbed my camera today, dragged Jill with the promise(bribe) of a freezie if she would sit for me to snap a couple of shots in our neighbours garden. I love the awakening of colors, the warmth of the natural light, my little model didn't cooperate with me for long but the results were pretty good.

I posted this shot because it just makes me laugh out loud, she had just about enough. I love the pout, crossing of the arms, mostly I just love my girl.
Now to try and get Jennifer to sit for me, LOL...
