I think this photo says it all, sums it up. Instead of cleaning house like I told you I was going to do this afternoon, I slacked off, played outside with Superman and the kids. We built snowmen and tobogganed and just enjoyed family time.
It is still waiting for me to clean tomorrow, or not. Ha ha!

I've learned very quickly that quality time with my son is so much more important then being caught up on laundry, I want my son to look back on his childhood and remember the family days filled with fun not that we had clean laundry! LOL
By the way, I've just read all your post and your post about your husband made me cry. You are married to a wonderful man!!
You definitely don't want your girls looking back and wishing that mom would have joined in on the fun instead of having to always clean the house. (That's what lots of my memories of my mom are like.) The thing about housework is that there're always lots and lots of jobs to do...and snow days and snowmen are in much shorter supply! Way to build some great memories!
My mom was a neat FREAK. My most vivid memory would be of her on her hands and knees, WAXING the tile floor at 3am Christmas morning.
There are not enough memories of the snowman-making variety!
I try to make Tues/Thurs "play days" for the Littles, even if I'm thinking of all the things I need to do while I play!
Well, here I am, scrubbing away :O)
Family coming this weekend, doing the BIG clean, if you know what I mean!

Sometimes you just have to through the whole 'house cleaning' thing out the door and have fun with the family... I did the same thing today... meant to do housework but ended up babysitting as my friend's son was sick so I took her daughter out for the day... though she wanted to dress up like a Southern Belle to go out in the cold... it is somewhat funny to see a little Asian girl dressing up like a Southern Belle to go to the Supermarket... forget the housework I wanted to have fun too...
