He's home..
I picked up Jack this morning, I am comforted to know his remains are home where they belong and his spirit is with our Heavenly Father.
God Bless Our Pets
They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you,you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,in death I love you still. In my heart you hold a placeno one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairwayand heartache make a lane,I'd walk the path to heavenand bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one,the chain will link again.

With great sadness..
Cracker "Jack" of Diamonds. May 26th 1993 -June 20th 2008
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Gift from my BFF
I called Superman at work this morning and he informed me there had been a parcel delivered to his office this morning. My girlfriend Helen saw this and thought of our family!!
I could hardly believe it when I opened it tonight, I am so excited and can hardly wait for it to be hooked up.
A big huge"Thank you" going out to my best buddy, you certainly spoil me rotten. ;)
Will let you know how sore we are the next few days, LOL.
Thanks again.

Losing my best friend...
I can't find the words, I'm not going to even try to express the anguish our family is experiencing. Jack our 15 year old friend is suffering, his hips keep going out , he has started to lose control of some of his functions and we know what is happening. We will not see him suffer, I am crying as I am typing, it's getting to hard to see the keys, so I will return soon, time is needed. I can't even bear the thought of having to tell our girls, he's not our dog, he's a member of our family, my first baby, this is too much to deal with...

Dog days of Summer.
Although it's not officially Summer yet, the temperature were telling us different. The temperature hit 32 degrees Celsius, very hot and humid. I packed the girls up and we walked over to our local splash pad, it was wonderful. Very relaxing watching the girls play, we had the best time!!

The tale of Mr. Toad.
The tale of Mr. Toad.
One of my monkeys favorite summer pastime is catching toads and frogs.
There have been lots of toads in the yard this year so there have been some happy girls.

Three badges for proof..
Sleeping on a hard floor, giggling little girls into the wee hours of the night, camp fires and quality time with my daughter.
We did it, we survived our first overnight Sparks-girl Guide camp out, we had a wonderful time, it was something Jennifer will remember for a lifetime.
It started off with a severe thunderstorm but that didn't dampen the spirits of our little campers, they won over the sun and it shone beautifully for the remainder of the weekend.
We had nature hikes, crafts, dancing, sing songs and we ate ourselves silly. The favourite event was the camp fire, mine too, cuddling up with my girl, sharing some time with her friends.
It was a long night trying to get some shut eye, the little campers giggled, shared jokes and just didn't want the fun to end. They finally drifted off and the old girl I am tossed and turned into the wee hours of the night trying to get comfortable. I didn't have much success, it didn't matter really when I saw the look on my Puddin' Pops face when she opened her eyes at first light.
So for coming to the camp out ,Jennifer got three badges and I got some wonderful one on one with my big girl. All went home very happy...
A huge thank you to Jennifer's leaders, Elizabeth and Lisa, your amazing ladies and role models for our girls. Can't wait to see you in the fall.
