My girl is growing up..

This week has been monumental for my big girl, she has lost a front tooth(the other one is hanging on by a thread) and has started in a fastball league. She is growing up before my eyes, I can hardly believe she will be turning seven in May.
For the last couple of weeks the two front teeth have been just hanging(literally)on and they had been giving Jen grief. It had become a struggle to eat and brush her teeth.During dinner a couple of nights ago she bit into her meat and the front tooth stuck straight out and turned black instantly, I was mortified! I couldn't bear to pull it out!!It definitely had to come out so I told(bravely,LOL) Jen to pull on it and she couldn't do it, she was a little scared. To make light out of the situation I told her we would tie a string on it and to the door knob and I would slam the door shut. Well, if this didn't tickle her fancy, long story short, we tied up the tooth and SLAM!! Out that baby tooth came and she loved the story to go with it.

Later that night she tucked a little piece of her childhood into the pocket of her tooth fairy bear, Mommy couldn't help but get a little emotional. Right before my eyes my baby girl is growing so fast!
This shot was taken right after she had lost her tooth, she was heading off to her first fastball practice of the season. This girl knows how to pitch a ball, can't wait to sit on the bleachers and cheer on my Puddin'.

You sound as squeamish as my husband when it comes to actually pulling the teeth out! (0:

It is incredible how fast our kids grow up. Before you know it, she'll be waltzing off to high school...

Kerri,

Are you trying to make me tear up over here? What a beautiful post about your beautiful girl. I can imagine how sad and happy those moments are. Congrats to Jen on losing her 1st tooth, that's so exciting and hope the tooth fairy was great to her (but of course, I know she was). :)

Hugs,
Jonni
