As I look at some of the pictures I've taken of the monkeys lately I can hardly wrap my head(and my heart) at just how much they are growing. I sometimes wish I could stop the clock, slow them down, then there are the moments I can hardly wait to see the bloom and blossom. To see what wonderful women, Mother and wives I know they'll be.
For know my sweet girls, slow down, don't grow so fast...
Oh the rate at which our children grow is amazing! I sometimes want to just stay awake for days to sit and watch each moment. Ahhhh!
ReplyDeleteWOnderful black and whites of your beauties.
Ugh, I understand exactly what you mean. I want my kiddos to slow down too!!! But I guess growth is inevitable. What beautiful girls you have, and great photos! I love the posing in the second shot...what a little model :)
ReplyDeleteI understand that sentiment completely..wish I could just hit Pause or slow motion button of life so that I could whole heartedly enjoy each and every single moment..beautiful photography of such a beautiful girlie:)
ReplyDeleteIt just does not seem fair they grow so fast...but when we were to little ones it seemed to take for ever!

ReplyDeleteOh I know exactly how you feel...I find myself every.single.day. asking/questioning/wanting to stop the clock or turn back time but as my mom is always telling me...you want to see your children blossom & grow ~ that is the pure beauty of parenthood...At times I do agree but there are those moments I want time to stand still just a little bit longer...
ReplyDeleteAnd before I forget - LOVE the B&WS!
She is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! She is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh I feel the same way...if we could only stop time for a little while longer. Your girls are stunning, these are beautiful portraits Kerri!

Oh, I appreciate this SO much. So many Mama moments seem bittersweet....these photos are pure loveliness...as is the subject.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous shots! I have to say that I wish that my daughter would slow down too. Like you - I am so excited for the future but I want these momments to last a little longer.

I completely understand what you wrote... I would love to stop my little girl from growing up. I love where she is right now, but she just wants to keep growing. The photos are beautiful. The lighting in the first one is simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love them. They are gorgeous girls. They so grow up way to fast..
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling well.....I am often caught in the same conundrum with my two lovelies.....stay little, no grow up, no stay little, no grow up!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll stick with stay little for now!
Happy BW!
They are both so lovely!! Beautiful pictures. Yes, they grow up too fast!
ReplyDeleteAlyzabeth's Mommy
yes, my oldest is turning 13 this year...I just can't believe it.....
ReplyDeleteIf only they could stay little for longer! Only each new stage is so amazing too!
ReplyDeleteI know! I agree! I tell Kerri all the time, but she is not listening to me. Right this minute she is stomping around the living room in her princess plastic toy high heel shoes. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Kerri and I know what you mean, wouldn't it be great of they would just stop growing??? :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jonni

ReplyDeleteAs a mom to my own two girls, I know exactly what you mean. I was just looking at last years blog posts and can't believe how much my girls have changed.
ReplyDeleteIf you listen to country music there is a song by Trace Adkins called, "You're gonna miss this."
Makes me cry eveytime.
